Anti-collision- alarm
In the 2D window, the surrounding aircraft are shown with their altitude delta and predictive trajectory.
In the 3D window, the surrounding aircraft are displayed using the same symbol at their assumed 3D position.
Different traffic alarms are generated by calculating the intersection of the volumes surrounding each aircraft's predictive trajectory with that of the pilot.
The level of the traffic alert depends on the proximity of the intersecting volumes.
In the 2D and 3D windows, the colour of the outline of each symbol indicates to the pilot the degree of danger posed by each type of traffic. Depending on the alert level, the outline of the symbol changes from green to yellow, then from yellow to red, an audible alarm is generated and a sign is displayed in the 3D view.
A "patrol" mode makes it easy to identify all the aircraft in your team in the views, by displaying a "callsign" and a purple outline for the symbol.
The system can also be used to locate mobile units on the ground and display them in 2D and 3D views (rescue workers, firefighters, emergency vehicles, etc.), which are equipped with the same tracking and geolocation system. In this way, the system prevents water bombers from making dangerous drops on firefighting units on the ground.
